Shpresa Diagnosed with Cancer Monday, June 25, 2007 It is with great sorrow that we report that Shpresa Gega, the Hoppes' wonderful housekeeper and caregiver for Tristan and Katherine, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Last Wednesday, Dr. Linderman performed surgery to remove tissue for biopsy and the tests came back positive for cancer. Please join us in praying for Shpresa as she begins her struggle with cancer. We will keep you updated with more detailed medical information as it becomes available. For now, please keep her in your prayers.
Monday, June 25, 2007 Nathan is leading another group of over twenty young Orthodox Albanians to Kosovo to run a series of children's camps in central Kosovo. There will be four camps run over the next three weeks. While he is away, Tristan and Katherine will be spending time with friends and family in the United States. Please pray for the dedicated young men and women who work so hard at the camps. Please also pray for the children who live in Kosovo and have experienced much hardship and sorrow in their lives. Finally, please pray for Nathan, Tristan, and Katherine as they endure this long separation. (You can see a photo gallery of some of the camps from last summer, 2006.)
