To let you know that ARCHANGEL MICHAEL Orthodox Church, O.C.A., in Burbank, IL. prays regularly for Lynette.
Having the
web site for updates and "ask for prayers for Lynette and her family as she endures this treatment and for her recovery and ultimate return Albania to continue her work as an Orthodox Christian missionary" is so good.
In thankfulness to God for you,

Father God, we come to you in the name of Jesus, bringing Lynette to you as the sick were brought to Jesus in Acts 5:16. "Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing SICK PEOPLE and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were ALL HEALED." As you Father God are "the same yesterday, today and forever" we ask that Lynette would be healed of all disease in her body. We thank you Lord for a good report as she returns June 7th to the doctors. We thank you for the truths that have become alive to her through this ordeal. Indeed she is loved.

Heavenly Father,
I pray tonight for your servants Lynette and Nathan. I pray for your Spirit to fill them and surround them with Your peace and love. Lord, give them the sense of purpose that can only come from YOU. Help them to embrace what you are allowing in their lives and continue to seek first Your kingdom, and Your glory. Lord, we ask for You to heal Lynette of this cancer. We know You have all power, and all knowledge and are sovereign in all things. We trust you with our very lives, and the lives of our children and others that we love. Lord Jesus, show Lynette and Nathan ALL You have for them to learn in this. Keep their hearts open to you even when they are fearful and afraid. Lord, most of all I pray that you will use their suffering to further Your kingdom in ways they can not even imagine. Lord, glorify Yourself in them and through them. Protect Tristan and Catherine. Give this family the support and care they need to walk through this heavy trial. Lord, I know You must break us before You can truly mold us and grow us up in You. Give the Hoppes the spiritual eyes to embrace this breaking as a blessing. Lord, You alone can give us the ability to see our circumstances in this way. I pray this for them. We know you love them more than any of us can. Thank you so much Lord for bringing Lynette into my path that very first week of college. I know that was a Divine appointment. Minister to her right now. Thank you Lord.

Dear sister-in-Christ, Lynette:
Your story has touched my heart. I know that at all times, even--perhaps especially--when you cannot feel it, you are enfolded in the embrace of God's light and love.
I think of the Dormition icon, in which the Theotokos herself--like each of us in our suffering--seems to lie asleep or unaware or dead, yet Christ is holding her soul in His arms, just as He holds each one of us.
As the Quakers say, I am holding you in that Light.
Yours in Christ,
"Juliana" (my saint's name)
Lord, hear our prayers
